YEARS OF RESEARCH
Many years of research by Dr. J. John Marshall and his team has provided a unique
proprietary process, for which a U.S. Patent is pending, by which particular protein
fractions can be extracted and made into convenient tablets. Animal feeding studies and
human clinical trials have indicated that Dr. Marshall's extract is effective in helping
individuals lose weight when included in weight loss programs. Importantly, the digestion
and absorption of valuable nutrients needed by the body such as the proteins, fats,
vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients in our foods are not effected-only starch.
PHASEO'LEAN FORTE may be considered an important component of the Life Plus Slender Now BLOCK,
BIND AND BURN strategy for rational weight managment.
Contains no preservatives, sugar, starch, salt, wheat, yeast, milk, soy
derivatives, artificial flavoring or coloring agents.
STARCHES IN THE DIET
Starch is a main constituent of many natural foods including grains, vegetables, fruits,
breads and most processed and fast foods as well. Starch provides from 500 to 700 calories
per day in the average American adult diet. Many individuals who routinely overeat consume
as much as 1,500 or more calories per day from starch contained in their foods. This, of
course, greatly exceeds a reasonable amount and contributes to three out of four Americans
being overweight.
ALPHA-AMYLASE
When we eat starch-containing foods like potatoes, beans, corn, pasta and bread, our
pancreas secretes alpha-amylase into our intestine. Alpha-amylase is a digestive enzyme
that breaks down (digests) large complex starch molecules into smaller units called
dextrins and further to maltose. Maltose is then broken down into glucose, which is then
absorbed. The original large starch molecules cannot be absorbed. However, when broken
down, their smaller components are absorbed into our bodies, along with their calories.
STARCH CALORIES
Calories that are absorbed and are not used by the body for energy are stored as glycogen
and body fat. Each gram of starch, when digested and absorbed, provides 4 calories. Starch
calories are generally considered "empty calories" because starch does not
provide anything but calories. It doesn't provide valuable amino acids, vitamins, minerals
or phytonutrients-only calories. Needless to say we receive plenty of calories. We obtain
them from not only starches, but sugars, fats and proteins as well. By breaking down to
mere glucose, starch produces a need for the body to make insulin which can create stress
on the body resulting in diminshed health.
AIU's
Each Phase'oLean FORTE Starch Blocker Tablet contains a minimum of 50,000 AIU's
(alpha-amylase inhibiting units), consisting of unique plant extracts, including
phaseotein from legumes, that will inhibit the absorption of more than 100 grams of starch
by blocking its digestion by the enzyme alpha-amylase. This statement has not been
evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose,
treat, cure or prevent any disease. (U.S. and Other Patents Pending).
MORE BULK
Undigested starch passing through the lower digestive tract will retain water, and
individuals will notice the increased bulk of their stools. This is why it is important to
drink plenty of water.
VARIETY AND QUANTITY OF
FOODS
There is no question that lowering the amount of calories in your diet (that you do not
need) is a healthy way to improve your health, as well as to lose weight. People have
difficulty staying on a restricted menu of any kind because they get bored with the lack
of variety especially when losing weight. However, when you take one Phase'oLean Forte
Starch Blocker Tablet before your meal, you can avoid most of the starch calories because
they are not absorbed. This lets you eat more foods (within reason, of course) that
contain high percentages of starch such as potatoes, bread, beans, corn and pasta-many of
the foods heretofore prohibited when you are trying to lose weight.
HOW TO TAKE PHASE'OLEAN
FORTE
It is important to take your Phase'oLean FORTE Starch Blocker Tablets (preferably 15 - 20
minutes) before each meal containing starch. A second tablet can be taken half way through
the meal if desired. If you take it too soon, it will pass through before the starch is
present. If you take it too late, the alpha-amylase will have already broken down the
starch before the starch blocker gets there. Always remember this: The alpha-amylase is
produced when you first begin to eat. If you take your Phase'oLean FORTE shortly before
you begin eating, you will disable it at the right time. Phase'oLean FORTE Starch Blocker
Tablets are scored so they are easily broken in half enabling you to take only one-half
tablet when a small snack is eaten.
SLENDER NOW WEIGHT
MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
Phase'oLean FORTE Starch Blocker Tablets can provide major benefits for those trying to
lose weight but especially those trying to keep it off. It only makes sense that the best
results will be obtained when they are used as part of a total weight managment program.
The successful Life Plus Slender Now Weight Management Program, which takes
advantage of Phase'oLean FORTE Starch Blocker Tablets, is scientifically sound-part of the
BLOCK, BIND AND BURN strategy-and will help you control your weight while sparing
lean body mass, keep it off, and improve your overall health at the same time.
Directions:
Take one tablet (preferably 15-20 minutes) before each meal containing starch. A second
tablet can be taken half-way through the meal if desired. These special "Soft
Tabs" are formulated to ensure rapid breakdown when taken, therefore, some breakage
may occur.
